Overview

The 7 to 9 days trekking in the Langtang valley offers a small view of the Tibetan culture, as well as a view of different landscapes, such as the rhododendrons forest Valleys, rivers, waterfalls and Glacier at low comfortable elevation. Furthermore, there are many mountains, for example the Langtang Lirung (7246m.), Gang Chhenpo (6388m), Naya Gang (5846m) and Dorje Lakpa(6966m). The trail goes through the rhododendron forest alongside the Langtang river to Kyanjing gompa (3850m). You will visit the Buddhist monastery, together with the oldest yak cheese factory of the world. It is worth spending one extra day in Kyanjing gompa to hike, like the Kyanjing RI, Cherko RI, Lang SE SA RI kharka. The trail will go back the same way, to Shyapru Bensi or Dhunche.
